King Peter the Magnificent

And Peter became a tall and deep chested man and a great warrior, and he was called King Peter the Magnificent.

High King Peter the Magnificent. There are so many things I want to say about him that I’m not sure where to start. Actually I do. The movies messed him up. They really ruined his character. And that upsets me. The producers didn’t absolutely dishonor him in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, but they completely obliterated him in Prince Caspian. Ahem, enough said. I’ll get on with it.

Edmund is, without question, my favorite of the four. His story is the story of redemption. And it’s beautiful. I have so many wonderful quotes about him that this post is going to get rather lengthy. But you don’t mind, right? 😊

Queen Lucy the Valiant

Lucy is the ray of sunshine, the gleam of hope, and the light of faith. Throughout the books, she is focused on the Lion, and more than once she shows her siblings what it is to follow him. Lucy seems to see Aslan more often, and there is obviously a special bond between them. She is lovable because of how she loves Him. And it becomes clear that she loves Him because He loves her. And all through the stories He never stops calling to her.

And Susan grew into a tall and gracious woman with black hair that fell almost to her feet and the kings of the countries beyond the sea began to send ambassadors asking for her hand in marriage. And she was called Susan the Gentle.

Susan: the Pevensie who deserted Narnia, or the girl who tried to be a grownup, or the one spoilsport of the four. These statements seem to sum up what a good many people think about this character. Some seem to think her almost heartless in her older years.
